Tea Challenge Complete

I am very pleased to inform everyone that I have now completed my 30 day tea challenge. For the last 30 days, I have only had tea, water and milk to drink (although admittedly, I did have a few glasses of juice and also one virgin caesar... hehe). I am soooo excited to drink coffee tomorrow!

Its official, challenge 69 is complete!

Tea Challenge

Although I must admit I haven't completed any new tasks on my 101 list, I am very proud to inform everyone that I am now on Day 18 of the 30 day tea challenge.

In order to complete this challenge, I must only drink tea, water or milk (in other words no coffee, pop, juice or alcohol for me for 30 days). Admittedly, this challenge has been especially difficult because I am an avid coffee drinker (and I also enjoy a glass of white wine now and then) but so far tea has been a wonderful replacement.

My breakfast this morning :) Green tea and grapefruit

A Picnic by the River

Today I was able to accomplish #24 of my Day Zero project. It was almost plus ten outside (which is a big deal for us), so my best friend and I went and had an afternoon picnic by the river. Sadly though, it was rather windy so we only lasted 40 minutes but overall, it was a cool way to spend our Saturday afternoon.

My beautiful friend :)
It was way too cold to stay long hehe

5 out of 101

Today I went and spoke to a personal counsellor for the very first time at my school. I had always considered going in the past, but I never had the courage to go. The women I spoke with was incredibly kind and sweet, and I would encourage anyone who thinks they might benefit from going to talk to someone to do so because I found it to be quite comforting.

Challenge 82 = Completed

A Day of Flowers

Today was without a doubt a day of flowers.

Since my best friend was getting her grad pictures done today I thought it was the perfect opportunity to buy her some pretty flowers. Since great minds think alike though, she had also bought me flowers cuz she knew I was having a rough day (so basically it turned into a flower exchange hehe). All in all, its perfectly clear that I have wonderful people in my life.

Challenge 67 = done :)

Challenge 57 is DONE!!! Woot woot!

Today was a wonderful day! I went to my very first comedy show with an amazing friend and then I got to buy my second ever lottery ticket. The man who sold me the ticket told me I had to give him 10% if I won (pretty sure he was just bugging me) but I decided it was a fantastic idea so we shook hands on it. Basically, if I win the 50 million tomorrow, then Mr. Abdi from the 711 is going to be 5 million dollars richer hehe.

Challenge 63 and 73

Challenge 63 and 73 are now completed!

Slightly distracted in my night class, I decided to write two anonymous letters to hide in my universities library. To change things up a bit, I also bought two 10$ Starbucks gift cards to hide with the letters. 2 challenges down, 99 to go.

Here is a little information about my Day Zero Project:

The 101 Things in 1001 Days Challenge

Day Zero started out with the catchy challenge of completing 101 things in 1001 days. This has been enormously popular with tens of thousands of people getting involved and sharing their lists. We now offer many more types of challenges, but here are the original guidelines for the challenge.

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

All this information is from the Day Zero Website:  http://dayzeroproject.com/about/
